I spent 3 nights at EastSeven in February and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The location in Prenzlauer Berg is fantastic - it’s a beautiful, historic neighborhood with amazing architecture and a really "moody," cinematic feel that’s perfect for photography walks. It’s also surrounded by some of the city's best local food spots and a few minutes' walk to Mauerpark Flohmarkt. The hostel itself is super clean, but it’s the people who really make the place. Georgia at the reception and Jack the vollie were both incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel right at home from the moment I checked in. Even in the winter, the common areas felt cozy, and the kitchen is one of the best-equipped I’ve seen in a hostel. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to visit Berlin! ~ Shiraz K

EastSeven really deserves its excellent reputation. Personally, it really became a home away from home, thanks to the wonderful staff and volunteers. Without exception, all were extremely helpful and did their utmost to make me feel at home. The hostel is really well managed and kept very clean, more so than many good hotels in fact. Whilst there are usually social activities on at night, these don't take over the place by any means. It's location is right in the heart of one of the loveliest parts of Berlin, with lots of great bars and cafes and within a few minutes walk to the U Bahn, S Bahn, and trams - you're about 20 minutes from Alexanderplatz, so pretty central. Overall I couldn't recommend EastSeven more highly, especially as a solo traveller, or with friends. ~ James S

Best hostel ever! I’ll definitely be booking again if I’m back in berlin. They have a welcoming atmosphere with really friendly staff. The garden was amazing to chill in and clutch for those waiting for flights. It was easy to meet people, but unfortunately the strict club entry policy forced us to split into small groups. The 24-hour DinoDeli MiniMarkt down the block was useful for late night snacks and drinks. I actually had to leave for a prebooked 4-star hotel in mitte and wished I was back at the hostel. The hostel’s fourth floor private rooms were sooo quiet - no loud hotel cleaning crews from 11am-3pm. The hostel also had super cheap €7 entire load laundry service whereas the 4star hotel charged €5-10 per single piece of clothing. All in all, east seven is the place to book! ~ Eric

Um dos melhores hostels que já fiquei. Tem grupo de whats que compartilha informações o tempo todo, dão dicas de lugar para sair, comer, comprar, entre outras. Fazem eventos todas as noites em bares locais com saída às 20h a partir do terraço. tem um pátio lindo, tablets com música por tda parte e televisão col Netflix. Vale mto conferir. I had a great time staying at EastSeven. The staff were super helpful and genuinely wanted you to have a good time. Initially I booked a mixed dorm because the price was best, but upon check-in the staff upgraded my room to a female dorm since there were only men booked into the mixed dorm and they thought I might be uncomfortable with it. The hostel events were also great and a nice chance to meet other guests. The shared facilities were cute and well maintained. I managed to get a good sleep every night since people respected the quiet hours. Also the bathrooms were really clean and always stocked with toiletries. There was also a good mix of tourists, remote workers and people on year long trips. Genuinely great place to stay in Berlin and my top choice for when I'm next in town. ~ Paula O

I have spent years and years travelling and trying hostels all over the world. But this hostel is top notch, its epic. Its super clean. The staff are absolutely amazing and so friendly. Its social and there are opportunities to party but its not crazy party so I would say a little for everyone. I am now 40 and met people of all age groups which I liked as I didn't want to be that old guy in the hostel but there is still a young crowd if you do want to go out and party. Great kitchen for cooking. Great common room. And also patio is incredible. The rooms were very spacious and bathrooms always accessible. I will absolutely go back. Oh and about the area. So easy to get around, its a super nice and super safe area. And a few options for public transport. ~ Stephen O

Mycket trevligt hostel med mycket som ingår i priset. Tillgång till gemensamt kök, dusch, tv, uteplats osv. Vi upplevde personalen som mycket trevliga och gästvänliga! Boendet är nära U-bahn och det är lätt att ta sig till East Seven från centralstationen. Vi kunde också gå överallt från hostellet (t.ex. Alexanderplatz, checkpoint Charlie). East Seven rekommenderas starkt! ~ Hanna F

Eastseven is a must visit hostel in Berlin, I have travelled in many different countries visiting hostels including many in Germany and Eastseven is the best one I have been to by far. The building itself is very cozy and clean and in a great location for all types of travellers. However Eastseven truly stands out because of the staff and environment they create. I stayed in Eastseven for the better part of a month and from the day I arrived till the day I left I felt more than welcomed. The staff constantly make an effort to make you feel included and welcomed in not only the various events they host but as well as just staying in and hanging out. If you are on the edge about which hostel to visit in Berlin, take my advice and choose this one. 10/10. ~ Harrison B

Excelente hostel para hospedarse en Berlín, ya sea si quieren socializar y conocer gente o si quieren estar tranquilos. Hay bares y supermercados cerca, y además está a unos 100 metros de una estación de metro que lleva al centro. Por sobre todo destaco la limpieza de todo el lugar (los baños siempre estuvieron impecables!) y la atención y buena onda de todo el staff! ~ Ramiro W

I have nothing but good things to say about my stay at EastSeven! The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and accommodating. There were lots of resources to help you get familiar with the neighborhood, meet your fellow travelers at Hostel events or in the lovely common areas, and tips on what to do throughout the massive city of Berlin, especially if you're on a budget! The best thing about a stay at EastSeven in my opinion is the location. Located in a neighborhood with plenty to do, see, and eat, you get a very local experience in a neighborhood that is incredibly clean, safe, and interconnected. You have access to the U station and other public transport within a 5 minute walk, and it's a great central location to base your exploration of Berlin from. ~ Humza S

Excellente auberge ! Le personnel est très sympa et toujours disponible si besoin ! L’auberge est a proximité du métro et du tramway, c’est idéal ! C’est très propre, la cuisine est très fonctionnel et il y a une terrasse qui rend l’auberge encore plus conviviale qu’elle ne l’est déjà ! Je recommande vivement pour passer un séjour entre amis (nous étions 10) ou bien même solo. ~ Colette S

I’ve stayed in multiple hostels across Europe and this is by far the best. Clean rooms, bathrooms & common areas. Very friendly staff: in the middle of my first night, I couldn’t sleep as this other person in my room was snoring very loudly. I went downstairs to the front desk seeking some help and the person there (Seamus I think) was super nice: instantly offered to let me sleep the night in a different room. The best any other hostel would’ve done would’ve been to offer some ear buds. The next morning, the person at the reception (Georgia) offered to upgrade me to a private room for free as an apology for something that they couldn’t have done anything about. Super sweet! Loved being a part of the drinking games in the common area. 10/10 experience overall. Highly recommend! :) ~ krish m

Un Hostel fantástico , el mejor en el que estuvimos en nuestro viaje por centro europa. Un ambiente fantástico , muy limpio , muy tranquilo y en un barrio increíble. El personal es muy agradable y te ayuda en cualquier cosa que necesites. Ademas tiene un agradable jardin donde desayunar o tomar una cerveza. 100% recomendable , si volvemos a Berlin no dudaremos en volver alojarnos. ~ Quino M

This is the best hostel I have ever stayed in. I cannot recommend more. I am someone who really cares about hygiene and this hostel was so clean, especially the showers and bathroom were really nice, and the room had really nice wood floors, and the kitchen area was perfect. There were really good common areas which allowed for my friends and I to meet such cool people staying in the hostel as well, but also enough room in the common areas to have personal space. The location was amazing, such a close walk to cute cafes and restaurants and a grocery store, and right near the main area with all clothing stores. Also found a really cool art exhibition near by. Overall I had an amazing experience and highly recommend this hostel. (I’m 21 years old and travelled with my two besties) ~ Morgan R

This is probably my favorite hostel ever! The atmosphere was amazing. It's not very big, so everyone gets to know each other pretty fast. Everyone generally meets in the common room in the evening and hangs out, and then goes bar hopping later in the night. However, unlike other hostels I've been too, people actually get up in the morning to see the sights. The hostel does this thing called supper club, where you can sign up to make dinner for the whole hostel (25-30 people). The hostel gives you €30 to spend on ingredients and reimburses you for your room that night and gives you a free beer. This made the hostel even better because it brings even more people together since everyone loves free food! I met so many amazing people here that I will miss dearly. ~ Michael K

Big and spacious rooms with decent lockers. Fan in the room to help you against the summer heat. Location is great I think. Sure, a bit outside of the mainstream touristy areas but those are kinda meh anyways I think. Just a couple of blocks away you will find vibrant nightlife, plenty of restaurants and bars, grocery stores, and so on. Mauerpark is like a ten minute walk away. Metro station is like five minutes away and so is the tram. You will need a public transport card if you're in Berlin since it's such a big city. The kitchen is great, the lounge was really sweet but the garden was even more awesome. Just a shame there were so many wasps but I understand there's not much to do about it since the bloody wasps are all over Europe right now. ~ Niklas A

Amazing Hostel! I cannot say enough about the friendly staff. They helped create the welcoming and fun atmosphere within the hostel, which made my overall stay in Berlin go above and beyond my expectations. Upon arriving in Berlin I had learned that my rucksack, (as a solo backpacker may be aware) was containing nearly all of my possessions, was lost in transit. Arrived at the hostel feeling rather anxious, the staff was empathetic and informative about all of the best areas to go to find the necessities and offered whatever they could to help me get what I needed. They even took a message for me when the airline contacted the hostel. I have recommended this hostel in every country I have travelled to thus far, and will not be stopping. Easily the best Europe hostel I have stayed in! ~ Demie D

i love the eastseven. I visited Berlin often in 2014/15 when i lived in Germany and always stayed here. And now I visited Berlin with my parents and this was the first hostel I looked up to make sure there was space available. We stayed in a 4 person dorm and were really happy with it. the bed was extremely comfortable, the place was quiet, clean, and the shared bathroom down the hall was always clean. The staff is friendly and able to answer our questions. The hostel is easy to get to using the S and U bahn - it takes about 15 mins to get there using local transportation. and there is a lidl (grocery store) down the street if you wanna get some snacks or whatever for the day Not sure when i'll be back in Berlin but this will always be the hostel i try to stay at ~ Becky D

Heel sociaal en knus hostel. Door de woonkamer ontmoet je snel leuke mensen, het is dan ook het best geschikt voor solo reizigers. De gezamenlijke koelkast en keuken is een plus en er was tweemaal im de week een gezamenlijke (gratis) diner toen ik er was. WC's en douches zijn schoon, slaapzaal met 6 personen is simpel, maar matras slaapt goed. Kan dit hostel enorm aanraden! ~ Nick B

Esperienza molto piacevole. Camere pulite, aree comuni con Netflix o per rilassarsi, giardino esterno con divanetti, cucina attrezzata, servizi igienici puliti. Lo staff é giovanile, attento e simpaticissimo. Grazie per tutto! Posizione quasi centrale, bisogna studiarsi un po’ gli spostamenti con la metro e il gioco é fatto. I had a brilliant time during my stay! I was in a 4 bed female suite, where we all got on fabulously, and attended each of the hostel socials every evening, where I made even more friends. The staff was amazingly friendly, and the group of us there was so fun and energetic! This was my first time solo travelling and I'm soooo glad I stayed here! The hostel was incredibly clean despite being full, very social and in a great area of Berlin. This trip has been so meaningful to me, and that all started with the comfort I felt in the hostel, and the amazing people and experiences that the hostel surrounded me with. I will definitely be back in Berlin, and I don't feel the need to consider staying anywhere else! Thank you EastSeven!! ~ Grace O
